What does MGO 900+ mean?

MGO stands for methylglyoxal, a naturally occurring compound used to grade Manuka honey. An MGO 900+ rating indicates a stated methylglyoxal level of at least 900 mg/kg. The label also displays an NPA 21+ grade, providing a second strength reference for customers comparing Australian Manuka honey products.
