MGO stands for methylglyoxal, a naturally occurring compound used to grade Manuka honey. An MGO 1450+ rating indicates a stated methylglyoxal level of at least 1450 mg/kg. The label also displays an NPA 28+ grade, giving customers a second clear reference when comparing high-strength Australian Manuka honey.
